What is truffle trip therapy and what does it involve?

Truffle trip therapy is a guided psychedelic coaching process that uses psilocybin-containing truffles in the Netherlands to support personal insight, emotional processing, and growth. It is more than a single experience and centers on careful preparation and follow-up around the session.

Typically it involves four phases: an intake and screening to clarify goals and risks, preparation of set and setting, the truffle session with an experienced facilitator, and integration to translate insights into daily life. Sessions can be individual, duo, or part of a small group ceremony, depending on your needs.

It resembles psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy but is not the same. This is offered as coaching or holistic guidance, not as recognized medical treatment. In the Netherlands, truffle sessions can be facilitated because truffles are legally available, while clinical psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy with controlled substances is not broadly available as regular care.

It is not a cure-all and it is not suitable for everyone, for example if you have a history of psychosis or use certain medications. Good screening, a safe setting, and thoughtful integration are essential. To learn more or start an intake, visit Triptherapie. I hope this helps.
